Move-in/Move-out Process

Whether you're moving in to a HighPoint Property Management property or you are headed in another direction, our team works tirelessly to demystify the move-in and move-out process. Moving in often requires reaching out to local utilities and taking over the responsibilities of the property occupant. Move-out needs include cleaning the home and repairing damage, in order to recoup your security deposit. 

Move-in Process

Nothing can compare to the feeling of moving in to a brand new home, but don't put your feet up just yet. First, you'll need to reach out to establish electric, gas, and waste disposal accounts in your name. You also need to complete a review of the property's condition, in most cases accompanied by one of our property managers. Make sure you don't leave a single stone unturned by reviewing the full checklist. 


Move-out Process

If you intend to vacate your property, you need to give our offices 30-days written notice prior to the lease expiration. Please ensure you clean the premises and address any repairs as necessary. A member of our team will conduct a thorough inspection once your possessions have been removed from the home. Cleaning and repair fees will be deducted from your security deposit as needed.
